numis Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 I have a bronze and enamel convex circular 34mm lapel badge with the inscription in the title above around the circumference and two shields enclosed by the inscription The reverse is plain with buttonhole suspension device and maker's name " Joh.Schwerdtner Wien " It is the only specimen I have ever seen Would anyone know anything about this badge and the issuing organization which I presume to have been a relief organization operating in the Transvaal ( Z.A. ) Republic in the period before the British occupation of Johannesburg in 1900 during the Anglo-Boer War
