westernhighlander Posted June 20, 2021 Posted June 20, 2021 I believe this is a Naval Shoulder board of a naval officer of the Ukrainian Republic 1919-1921. What rank would this represent?
PREM Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 (edited) Hi! IMHO - Attach a strange epaulette, the button indicates the navy, but it is an infantry epaulette, except that during this period three stars were not placed in this formation. Two were placed. It is possible that it was borrowed from the Russian army, where three stars in a different position meant the senior lieutenant (such a distinguishing feature of the Russian army). Button probably folded, but from a different shoulder pad. The arrangement of the stars, although not the number and location, is typical of the 1918 Ukrainian army. But it could be a hybrid from another period, even World War II. Edited July 23, 2021 by PREM
