Nihil Sine Deo
Hello dear fellows, Few years ago I’ve bought this medal or order (it was formed from an 3 pieces lot, one Romanian regimental badge issued in 1934 and another foreign regimental badge) and since then I’ve tried to find out informations about it but I couldn’t find anything. One collector told me that this is the Romanian Order Alpha and Omega but I couldn’t find anything that confirms this or even any informations about the order. The cross without the chain is weighing exactly 35 grams and with chain is weighing 44 grams. It’s height is 66 Millimeters with the fixed ring, it is 44 millimetres wide and the chain is measuring exactly 100 Millimeters (10 cm). The middle cartouche appear to be made from separate pieces. I couldn’t identify the hallmarks, but to me, they look much older than the 30’ hallmarks. There also is a hallmark with a crown on the chain, that looks similar with the hallmark from the cross. The cross has the number 56 engraved on the bottom. Any information is much appreciated. Best regards. P.S. Here are pictures: The hallmark from the chain: The bottom of the cross:
