Like the Red Cross, it awards medals to its members. Die Orde van die Liga only given to very few people (member, non-member or employee) and has a whole range of criteria. For Excellent Service by a member, non-member or fulltime employee to the Liga in particular or emergency assistance in general. There dedication and credibility in the public eye and in the performance of there normal duties justify this decoration. Medal for Bravery (Die Erefakkel) For excellent Service by members or non-members to the Liga Bar for continued excellent service Josenia van Schoor-dekorasie (Tienie van Schoor) For Exceptional Service by a member or fulltime employee to the Liga Normal version, marked SILVER. Variety = Die flaw obverse (women's face), marked SILVER. Medal For 30 years service. Wrong ribbon. Correct ribbon. Medal For 20 years service. Insignia: A bronze medal in the shape of the Voortrekker Monument, depicting a scene of an ox-wagon moving through mountains (obverse). Note: 2 different reverses, also different suspenders. Medal For 10 years service. Insignia: The stretchers and torch from the SANHL coat of arms and the number 10 on a 'castle'-shaped medal superimposed on a multi-rayed 5-pointed gold-coloured star. There appears to be another design, too, displaying two serpents coiled around a torch below the number 10 on a blue shield in the centre of a multi-rayed 10-pointed gold-coloured star.
