heusy68 Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Hello Gentlemen, Long time ago I bought in Berlin such a Medal of Excellence, but I understand, it's an early one, likely from shortly before WWII , but in the middle of the 1930ies, China was already at war with Japan. This medal is 42 millimeters in diameter, 23 grammes, silver-gilt, with "cloisonné enamel" technique. And numbered 741 on reverse. I know well the Orders, but I'am not that much onto Medals of the Republic of China, before WWII (there were so many, and even more, in what is commonly named War Lord Period : 1912-to late 1920ies ), so what was the purpose of this medal ? Regards to all. Emmanuel 1
