tyanacek Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Hello to all, This single -placer is from the ASMIC Show this past weekend. It is a three-piece, zinc example. I was intrigued by this one because both the obverse and reverse medallions have retained a beautiful golden-bronze finish while the cross itself is mostly grayed out. All I can figure is that the medallions must have been struck from a finer-quality zinc alloy than the cross itself. Best regards, Tom
ChrisKelly Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 (edited) Looks like the cross itself is struck from zinc, and the center emblems, reverse and obverse, may be tombak, and thus seperately applied. Is the suspension ring hallmarked? That's a nice medal. Edited December 15, 2024 by ChrisKelly
