Stefan Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Hi! According to the book "Finlands frihetskrig år 1918" (Theslöf, Ignatius, Palmén, Soikkeli, Grotenfelt, Nordenstreng), in book 4 on page 193, there were two officers from Norway that took part on the white side in Finland 1918. I believe I've found one - Lieutenant Paul Holmeskog, Nylands Dragoner. I attach a picture from Harald Natvig's book - Holmelund is in the front. But who can the other officer be? Anyone from Norway that know this? There might be a book that can help out, but I don't have it: "Finland 1918 – Den finske borgerkrigen og nordmennene som var vitne til den" (Mårten Jentoft). Regards, Stefan

Regards, Stefan According to the newspaper Uusimaa number 74 of 1918 Holmelund was the only norwegian officer. Below is a clip of the article that mentions that he was probably the only one.
