Deanna Posted March 7 Posted March 7 The medals, bars, pins and patches that I have of the collection of George W Schook, an Army Sgt who served 2 tours of duty during the Korean War, as well as serving during the initial years of the Vietnam War. Sgt Schook, whilst serving in the the 19th Eng Btln., was mortally wounded on 7 Aug 1967 in the area of Tam Quan when the vehicle he was traveling in hit upon a booby trapped mine hidden within the dirt road; and due to the massive and acute hemorrhage that were inflicted, sadly passed away the next morning, 8 Aug 1967, at 06:30 hours, at the 93rd Army Hospital. His parents and his wife survived him. He was interred in Fort Logan Natonal Cemetery in Denver Colorado with full military honors. Sgt. George Washington Schook, you are not forgotten.
Stogieman Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Another sad story Bill but quite the group. May God bless our service men and women
