Guest Rick Research
Is that the scale to hang full sized medals on? That "British" style was a mutant 1930s sub-variety, normally. What you have is the saxe-Weimar-Eisenach "General Decoration" which came in bronze, silver, and gold-- apparently a peacetime one here since there is no grotesque rectangular bar with swords, and a Prussian long service award. The first ribbon could also be a SWE long service award-- say an ex-Army NCO who went into the Gendarmerie. same ribbon.Perfectly fine.(Better to post Imperial stuff IN Imperial and I have moved this from "Guest Valuations")
Stogieman
...... and, the absence of the whonkin'-huge swords bar doesn't necessarily equate to a peace-time award. Many men simply didn't mount the device due to the clumsiness/size.
