Thanks for the pictures + info (I had most of them, but didn't know what was what).

You also showed me a medal I had no knowledge of, so again, thank you.

But I'm missing one.

Sabotage Campaign Medal — For veterans of MK's sabotage campaign which began in 1961.

Any idea if it exist and how it looks like ??

The correct name should be Hector Pieterson. 

 

Mike also had it incorrect.

 

I really don't know the Sabotage Campaign Medal, but will ask Mike.

 

I found the attached picture somewhere, but don't know what it was

Do these medals have any official standing (i.e., State-issued) or are they veterans' bling, available for private purchase?

Hi Megan,

 

All I know is that they were officially awarded by the MK Military Veterans, but I never saw any Warrants. 

 

My friend Mike Evert designed them, as all the SAPS and Metro Police awards.

 

I will find out if he have any documentation

Is MK Military Veterans an Old Comrades association? Or more governmental, like the US Veterans Administration?

Yes, he really have a good eye.

 

Another friend is currently busy with the designs of the SANDF 20, 30, 40 and 50 years medals and Mike assist him with some designs.

 

The MK Military Veterans are governmental, as they even have a Minister handling their affairs.

 

Still waiting for Mike's answer on documentation.
