archie777 Posted May 9 Share Posted May 9 The Prisons Department Faithful Service Medal Indtituted in 1965, the medal was awarded to a member who had completed 18 years of service (not necessarily continuous), during which time he was to have displayed examplary conduct and have been of unimpeachable character. It could also be awarded to a member who had displayed exceptional devotion to duty in a distinguished or gallant manner, in which case a bar bearing the inscription VERDIENSTELIK - MERITORIOUS was included.
