    Dear Gentlemen,

    Brief history,

The 1/20 Aurès Nementcha fighter squadron is a former fighter unit of the French Air Force based in North Africa between April 1, 1956 and September 30, 1963, within the 20th fighter wing.
Throughout its existence, the 1/20 actively participated in law enforcement operations during the Algerian War.

On September 30, 1963, EC 1/20 Aurès-Nementcha was disbanded and aircraft and personnel transferred to the newly created EAA 1/21 Aurès-Nementcha at the Air Base 188 in Djibouti, it was equipped with six AD4 Skyraiders.

On December 31, 1972, EAA 1/21 was disbanded.

The next day, the F-100s of EC 4/11 Jura took over.
