Hi Gents,

I have hopefully had a stroke of luck…

I saw this tunic…

It has had tailoring to shorten it, which may or may not have cut the tunic and it’s faux pockets on the tail in half!! And alterations to the width of its back, that have since split.

I’m hoping it has been folded/tucked in & not cut.

Another find that was used in USA theatre/film, going cheap, believed only to be a theatre prop, but I disagree.

 

The buttons and lace are correct for those of some rank of General, the example I’ve got down at the end below is a Victorian/Edwardian Major-General tunic.

This punt has cost me

$90 + $18 tax + $55 postage = $163

So total of about £128 to me…

 

Either way, it’s on it’s way back across the pond as we speak. I’ll update asap.
