Some "French" miniatures

Dear all,

 

I bought a small lot of medals included some French items of which some (which I believe are French) I cannot Identify.

Anyone familiar with these?

The 3rd is definitely the Medal for the Order of Academic Palms. The ribbon is wrong, and is probably the case for all medals here. Because of this, it will be difficult to determine what the medals are, as French medals have very similar obverse designs. Full example:

Actually, it's not the "Order of Academic Palms" but "Officier de l'Instruction Publique".

Hello !

To my knowledge a decree of 4 October 1955 did away with the "Officier d'Académie" and "Officier de l'Instruction Publique" and did in fact create the "Ordre des Palmes Académiques" with Knight, Officer and Commander being  the classes of the order (in French, resp. Chevalier, Officier and Commandeur).

From 1808 to 1955, the badge represented an olive branch and a laurel branch crossed:

 

 

Since 1955, when the order was established, the badge has been composed of two identical branches, mainly laurel (the olives have disappeared).
