Alan329 Posted Saturday at 19:34 Posted Saturday at 19:34 I am trying to do some research on a relative. I applied for his military record 12 months ago and just received them They were very comprehensive, unfortunately they were for the wrong person. My fault, I thought I had identified his service number, but I got it wrong. I will apply again with the correct service number, but for some reason the site appears to be down and I just get a bad gateway error message. Noor very kindly provided some great information on a trio of WW1 medals I posted a few years ago, and I wondered if anyone had access to the various ancestry sites that might have some information for me while I wait for the service records. I know that his medal index card is on Fold3.com but I have no access to it. Here is what I have so far: Edward Ryan Gunner 1106882 27 Field Regiment Royal Artillery Discharge date 13 December 1945 23 Aden Street Oldham Lancashire Medals – 39/45 Star, Burma Star, Defence medal, War medal Date of birth 28 July 1908 Date of death 08 January 1982
Farkas Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I don’t think there is a way to access WW2 records other than the route you have used, I may be wrong 🍻
