svapr Posted Sunday at 00:15 Posted Sunday at 00:15 Hello, I would like to ask for advice. Is this an early form of the Order of Academic Palms? I haven't found one with a crown anywhere. Thanks.
ChrisKelly Posted Sunday at 04:30 Posted Sunday at 04:30 No. That's not an emission of the Academic Palms.
Supernaut Posted Monday at 23:13 Posted Monday at 23:13 The crown looks like the Spanish Republican one https://elartedelahistoria.wordpress.com/2009/04/14/el-escudo-republicano/ Regards Nacho
Great Dane Posted Monday at 23:18 Posted Monday at 23:18 A lot of French cities/counties used a mural crown on local decorations. One example is the many local life-saving medals. My money is on a local French issued decoration with similar award criteria as the Academic Palms.
No one Posted Tuesday at 00:51 Posted Tuesday at 00:51 Dear Gentlemen, If I may, this decoration has nothing to do with the Palmes Academiques. Palmes Academiques : an olive branch and a laurel branch intertwined, not an olive branch and an oack branch with acorns. Yours sincerely, No one
