USN Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Hello everyone, I recently acquired this Birks marked Seaforth Highlanders badge and am having a hard time dating it. I can't seem to find any versions of the badge that match this one, specifically with how the stags head is designed. Is this due to the dye that Birks would have used or because it's an older style? Any help would be appreciated. Many Thanks, Will 1
Hugh Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I wonder if perhaps this is an unofficial / sweethearts pin, primarily because of the pin vs. lug attachment, as well as the different design. Thoughts? Hugh
ChrisKelly Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Likely custom made. Definitely not an "official/government issue" cap badge.

I would definitely agree to the private purchase part just because of the Birks sterling mark on the back. However I would think it's too small to be a cap badge. Edited February 2 by USN
