Mark McM Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Hello All, Here’s a sword that struck me as being a bit unusual. Guard has interesting decorative elements, to include classical sea monsters, a squid and sea plants. Was curious to know if anyone else had come across such a thing?
ChrisKelly Posted February 11 Posted February 11 (edited) Just a guess... Looking at the crown on the guard, I think it's a German naval/maritime sabre from the time of the kaisers. Not my bailiwick, but a really cool, neat sword. No, I've never seen one like it. It may be custom made. Can you get any more images (especially the blade, and a scabbard, if it has one)?
