Megan Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Badges aren't really my thing, but "FDJ" was the East German youth organisation Freie Deutsche Jugend [Free German Youth], the middle item looks like a cap badge, I think for the police... the triangular badge probably marks attendance at an education establishment or a particular course. Sorry not to be more helpful...
Gordon Craig Posted February 28 Posted February 28 The triangular badge is for the MfS (STASI) school. The badge in the centre is a later issue cap cap badge. Earlier issue badges came in a two piece arrangement. The pin on the right is the FDJ badge as Megan says. Regards, Gordon
Gordon Craig Posted March 2 Posted March 2 And the blue badge from my collection. This is a late issue badge indicated by the last pin type fastener used in the DDR. The loss of the gold on the edge is also indicative of the later badges and their poorer quality. Regards, Gordon 1
