gundammmmm Posted Saturday at 13:04 Posted Saturday at 13:04 I recently had the great honor of collecting the Order of Lenin and the Order of the Red Banner from a Soviet Hero of eaordinary bravery. The screw Lenin and the screw Red Banner are in very good condition, but unfortunately the Gold Star of the Hero of the Soviet Union was not in the set, so I made a gold Star myself. The heroic Cavalier destroyed 31 tanks of Nazi Germany in a position defense in the early days of the war, and held his position in a desperate situation. For this, he deservedly won the title of Hero of the Soviet Union and the Order of Lenin. In the Battle of Stalingrad, his artillery bombardment crushed the crazy offensive of the Nazis and helped the Soviet Union win in this meat grinder-like battle. Unfortunately, in the epic battle of Kursk, the same plot did not usher in the same ending. The hero lost his life forever in exchange for the complete annihilation of the enemy. In the end, he was included in the ‘Зачисление навечно в списки части’ and became an immortal hero.

Marcel B. Posted Saturday at 13:20 Posted Saturday at 13:20 What's the point of making a gold star yourself? It is a fake and has no history. I can't see why that would enhance the grouping??

Marcel B. Posted Sunday at 05:50 Posted Sunday at 05:50 Of course you should do what you want, it is not my business at all. But from a collecting point of view, and for the passion of preserving history I see absolutely no point in adding something that shoudn't be there. Just my opinion.

Expand The HSU star is not in the set,so I replace it with a copy made by myself,It is hard to regroup the real star in a short period of time,so is it that hard for you to understand?Maybe you should learn how to respect others better. Marcel B. Posted Sunday at 10:05 Posted Sunday at 10:05 I just try to understand why adding a homemade copy would enhance or improve a collection. You already have two awards to one person which is great. Most collectors would be happy with that already. I am just puzzled why adding something that shouldn't be there would improve what you already have. I personally would be happier if I could track down the original gold star, even if it was just a photo and display the photo of the original award with the other REAL awards. That's all. But that is of course just my humble opinion. If you are happy with a homemade piece of metal that has no history or connection to the hero at all than be my guest 🙂
