Chris Boonzaier Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 I think the name Alexander is used in many Languages... but How many German Füsiliers are named Alex Robinson?
Tony Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Now that is really interesting, I've seen so many Great War Commonwealth medals impressed with German names. I have a couple as well as a photo of a CSM whose parents were from Magdeburg and then there was Pte. Willie Schmidt in the TV series Anzacs but your certificate is the first evidence I've seen of an Anglo name fighting for the Kaiser. I like that lots and it'd fit so nicely into my collection. In fact I like it more now than I did a few seconds ago. If you ever want rid of it give me a shout.
Chris Boonzaier Posted January 9, 2015 Author Posted January 9, 2015 If you want to like it even more than you did the second you liked it more than the second before.... look here.... http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/64796-faehnrich-alex-robinson/
