Scowen Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 A little quiet here gents, so lets see if we can get some interest up. Here are my two Lehrerbund badges, both Hoffstätter marked with their tell tale oval type pin plates/keepers. Any others out there? Different makers, same maker? Cheers Don
BURGERHAUS Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Gents, A little quiet indeed. I thought perhaps everyone was cleaning up after the big wind. I viewed some very saddening footage on European Journal this morning. In fact, I beleive a certain brand new structure in Berlin had its' facade blow off. Here are my type I and Type II NSLB. I like the design of these badges except for the attaching pin set-up. I hope all is well over there and your lives haven't been too rattled. Take Care Robert
BURGERHAUS Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Notice how my Type I has a more rounded and not quite so oval pin plate. It is not completely round but not as oval as the other. It has a lot nicer in hand feel too. Another wonder.
Scowen Posted January 21, 2007 Author Posted January 21, 2007 Thanks for posting your badges Robert. I don't think that you have much to worry about with your Type I, Hofftätter may have used a rounder plate as well as the more common oval. Does yours have the "hatching" seen under the red enamel of the lettering? I have seen this missing on some other makes, but it's always been on any Hoffstätters I've seen. You may need to get the light in the right position to see it. Cheers Don
--dj--Joe Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Appreciate seeing these examples. I have toyed with the thought of picking up an example but always manage to wait too long. I tend to prefer the typeII to the typeI.--dj--Joe
srn Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 The interesting manufacturer of this sign. Didn't meet earlier. What think, friends?
Scowen Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 Hi Sergey, Thank you for posting this, I was hoping that someone would have one I have only seen this badge with this maker mark once before, several years ago, & it was (& may still be) owned by a collector in Denmark. I have no idea whether they are original or not but you do not see them very often. Thank you again for posting it. Cheers Don
srn Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Don,hello! I too didn't meet the such. Execution of a sign is pleasant to me. This sign was exposed by one person at our forum.
--dj--Joe Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I wound up with a type 1 for my collection. Also marked HCH TIMM Berlin C19. I see no sign of it having been silver washed. --dj--Joe
Scowen Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 Hi Joe, A hard piece to find with that maker, thanks for showing it. Cheers Don
AlecH Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Picked up this NS Lehrerbund Badge and members card. Diameter is 2,1 cm - maker Hofstättler : Bonn - It does have "hatching" effect shown on Don's 5th post picture
