Gordon-- whaat does the BACK of the ribbon bar look like? It looks from the front like the same construction as American ones!

    SasaYU,

Thanks for adding pictures of some of the medals. I knew what the other ones were. Just didn't have pictures of the ribbons for the two I asked about. Interesting ribbon bar.

    Regards,

:Cat-Scratch: Fascinating. These are remarkably similar to BRITISH pattern ribbon bars of the late 1940s!!!!!!!

    SasaYU,

Sorry, I didn't realize you were answering Rick's question. Are larger ribbon bars, like the one I posted, pinned on, or sewn on to the tunic? What would the back of a ribbon bar with 8 ribbons look like?

    Regards,

    Gordon

Here are two ribbon bars from my collection. Both were made to be sewn on to the tunic.

Most of YU ribbon bars are sewn on with backing. Here are two more unusual ones:

Thanks for showing these different types. First British-style pin-backs, and then American-style clutch-backs. Odd that the full size medal ribbons should be Soviet-style-- I guess that included everybody!!!
