Swords: Silver Bavarian WW1
Although a lot of WW1 period silver swords were REAL silver--at least for offiecrs' ribbon bars-- this attributed circa 1916 ribbon bar to a bavarian officer has Prussian style generic swords in white alloy. Very often Bavarian style swords which were "bound" are found on bavarian bars, but not here.
This could represent either a Bavarian Military Merit Order 4 or a Military Merit Cross 2. Since the owner is known, it was the former.
