Swords: Gold Austrian 01

These funny fishtail guards with "berries" are a style not seen on German swords. Occasionally after the Anschluss Austrian stock got mixed in, so don't be surprised to see such devices on WW2 "German" bars.

This particular example is on aWW1 Austriaan 20mm ribbon bar-- when they had not settled on what form their own ribbon bars would take.
