Swords: Schwarzburg Gold

The two Principalities of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt and Schwarzburg-Sondershausen issued their house order, the Honor Cross, with the same ribbon but different reverse centers on the actual Orders.

Gold swords were used on the two classes worn on a ribbon bar, so the rank of the recipient can only be determined from other clues on a ribbon bar. See the scan of "Swords: Silver Schwarzburg."

Note the typical thin, squared swords from the WW1 period.
