    2. thanks for the welcome Mervin,,i take it the captain alberts name is in conection with the first war fighter ace died at 20 years what a guy he must have been going up alone ,im trying to do a deal for a lock of the red barons hair framed from a friend with provenance,been trying for 6 months now, hes nearly give in to my offers i think hehe.mervin i also have a (T e lawrence) lawrence of arabia presentation bowl ,given by lawrence to a major in cairo in 1915 with inscription and loads of provenance,is this somting that maybe of interest to the site .if so i will post some pictures. for now i will post my other waterloo medal thanks again for the welcome , waterloo medal to philip childs 16th or queens light drag,in captain j. h.belle,s troop. the 16th and 17th regiment of light dragoons were raised by george 3rd in 1760 ,this cavalry unit was in the thick of the action ,5 officers and 36 men killed or wounded on the day .
    3. hi all just wanted to share my two waterloo medals ,one is to a lewis king born 18th june 1796 at derham,norfolk,enlisted in first foot gaurds on 11 july ,1805,at deal ( aged just 9 years) ,he attested for unlimited service on 18th september 1820,discharged to pension 18th october,1824,aged just 28 years.description at disdharge 5,4 brown hair ,grey eyes,fair complexion.served at waterloo in 3rd battalion in lt col staples company.he had a wife and two kids.the medal reads lewis king ,drummer,3rd batt.grenad. guards.
