The last two ribbons look like ribbon for Indian independence medal 1947 and 20 years long service medal

Researching OR is very difficult, unless your gentlemen was into a big action which is well documented for civilians.
Double strikes are indeed clerical errors and these kind of medals turn up time to time in India

Hi All,
I recently managed to reunite ww1 trio awarded to 2/Lt A. E. Azevedo of Royal engineers / postal department.
He served as superintendent of Bombay foreign posts and was awarded MBE in 1919 and ISO in 1939.
I tried looking for his photograph online but no luck, wondering any of our group members can guide me on how to get a photograph of him.

Hello Hoopa,
Yes there is a certificate associated with every foreign mission you go are chosen for, for an example the U.N. medal and videsh seva medal associated to it will also have a completion/commendation certificate from head of mission and force commander.

Hi Cazack,
Following are a few good contacts
1. Goga jain from Gole market near to Connought place.
2. Army Equippers can be a good option for ribbons (no medals) provided owner is in good mood.
3. Rakesh Jain from Manidhari Jewellers near to Gurudwara chandani Chowk
4. Vijay Kumar near to Sikh museum chandani Chowk
5. GD Verma & Sons chandani Chowk for ribbons.

I will try to figure out the ribbon bar, since it's a black and white picture that makes it little difficult guess.
Top left to right - 1. General Service medals 2. Paschimi Star 3. Samar Seva Star, 4. Raksha Medal 5. Ribbon not clear (possibly Sangram) 6. Sainya Seva Medal (possibly there but not clear in pic) 7. 20 years long service medal 8. 9 year long service medal 9. Indian independence medal 10. 1939 - 45 star 11. Burma Star 12. British war medal 13. India service medal
I hope you find this helpful

@peter monahan this is Burmese equivalent to title badge, the difference is this is made out of gold and title badges were struck in silver
Just now, Mike McLellan said:Beautiful. I’ve never seen one before. When Professor Google called it a “gold medal”, was he refering to the colour or the content of the metal? Very nice, indeed!
Mike
Yes Mike it seems it's referring to it's content.
There were 3 categories if this medal, however I have never seen other two

Nice group! To whom is it named?
Hugh
Named to Lt. Col O.P. Dutta of Arty, there is a progression in rank from captain to Lt. Col

Not sure if this Burmese award is included in forum
Sadly this is a unnamed medal
Google search says "A large (51mm) gold medal awarded during the colonial period. The Burmese on reverse reads: Ahmu-dan-gaung Tazeik-ya Min (An official who has been awarded the medal for good service) and entitled to use the letters ATM after his name. The two other levels of the order were: Kyet thaye zaung Salweya Min (An official who has been awarded the Sash of Glory) and used the letters KSM after name; Thuye gaung ngwe Daya Min (An official who has been awarded the Silver Sword for Heroism) and used the letters TDM after name. "

For sure Peter,
Yes you are spot on, I am based in India, with my primary collection theme as post 1947 Indian Army, state and police medals.
It's always a pleasure to help fellow collectors as I have been helped by many time and again, if I can be a help to anyone it will be nice
