    5. Dont get me wrong i love the patina on the cross but as one of britains top gallantry awards isnt it being in this state doing it a dis-service? Thanks though for the tips on cleaning and the replies!!
    6. thats what im thinking!this medal should be silver!its really just brown at the moment!!
    7. well after FINALLY finding where id last left my military cross(yes i bloody lost the thing thanks to my flat mate putting it "away"!!) im wondering if it wouldn't be a good thing to clean it! i know ALOT of people say you shouldn't but iv been thinking!this award is a VERY high and prized award so shouldn't they be kept clean! mines is ww1 one and is near on brown with the tarnish!i know that tarnish stands for 70+ years of its history but after seeing other MCs i do get the feeling that it does need a clean im still in 2 minds because no soldier who won it would be aloud to wear it in the dirty state its in!!what are your guys feeling on it??should it at least get a light cleaning???? any advice would be great!!

    12. sadly i cat find any other info either! but after talking with other people he was definitely KM which would be right with him being attached as an observer! its a real pity we dont now what it was awarded for!!is there any rolls that tell for what the award was given out or is it just a list of names?
    13. ah well not to worry thanks though!!!
    14. thanks you got there before me!! actually do you know any more info about him as iv drawn a blank apart from the info here(i got the name of the seller but info is near the same as that on Wikipedia ) thanks though!!

    16. well many a condor legion hows about a KM bar from my collection!!!!cant be many of them awarded to the old KM!!!
    17. well if you look to the very end of the sales thread the seller states that the Romanian ribbon at the end was taken off when Romanian changed side, Italy did this in 43 so by rights that ribbon should be gone to!!!
    18. saw this on on WAF and i'm not so sure about it! It seems too clean- the placement of ribbons seems odd too, looks like the last two were added as an afterthought at the end! Never heard of a person breaking off the Romanian ribbon! Also, if he did it for one ribbon, why did he not do for the Italian ribbon then too? i've NEVER heard of a soldier breaking off a ribbon on a bar!! what do you guys think? http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/showthread.php?t=376505
    19. iv pmed a mod on this as i feel the clubs rules on this are unclear!on other forums if you dont own a badge you have to mention this!
