Wow.
Really & truly, sod the hardware.... THIS is history.
A wonderful grouping - all the more special for the fantastic photographic record that accompanies it. Those pictures taken from aboard are enough to turn me to KM collecting!
Very simple, but very special.
So...... do you have the hardware as well?...

Pretty much identical to the Zimmermann pattern.
AAhhh.. the Holy Grail..
Very nice Gordon!
You say 'pretty much..' - do you know this is Godet because of some sort of minutely different die characteristic, the style ribbon loop, the abscence of any markings, or because it came as a cased set with an EK1 and 2...???
I'm not sure whether Zimmerman marked everything, and therefore unmarked = Godet... you seem pretty sure this is Godet however.
Possibly the answer is in your book - but that's an arms length away, whereas this medium is but a keystroke away!
Can you share?

As Roger Bender has informed me that my Iron CRoss book is virtually sold out and will shortly be out of print I have been looking around for fresh material to go into the reprint. ...
Hi Gordon..
A very nice and rare Schickle - and congratulations on the books' sell out. Understandable - it is a quality piece of work.
To what extent are you planning to 're-vamp' the book ..... a few additional pictures, or something more comprehensive?

Hi Gents...
I have an incomplete grouping to HSU Gold Star winner Z. Akhmetzyanov (09/23/44).
Fortunately, I have the booklet and two awards that really matter, but I would love to achieve the impossible and try and track down one or two others of his 6 documented awards, or the Certificate for the Gold Star, etc.....
Fat chance, of course, but maybe someone knows of a website where collectors can post a serial number 'wish-list' for re-uniting Soviet Awards or Certificates?
Don't worry - no breath will be held in attempting this persuit!!
cheers

......I'm not sure how to describe the technical effects of spoiled focus, but that's the result.
Nonetheless, you describe it very plausibly Rick!!
I never noticed the glowing gloves.... I guess we should thank our lucky stars none of them are SMILING!
Great pics...

To add to Ralph's observation.....
Does the central black stripe on the ribbons sported by 'Gordons Brigade' look very narrow for EK2 ribbon....particularly on your guy with the Turkish WM...?

These two examples will probably proove that the one stamp scenario is unlikely.
