Good to hear from you again!!! No just tombac. I've only ever seen these years. So far I have not seen a 1939. They also came in bronze & silver grade, but these are very rare, much rarer than the gold. Don

I Remembered yesterday afternoon that I'd seen a related set somewhere, it's taken me ages to remember where..... Finally found it on Weitze's site for 750 euro.

This is not a serial number it's just part of the maker mark of Christian Laur, 1790 is the year that the company was founded.
