A nice ribbon you have there Robert.
I'm sure that you are already aware, but for other members who do not know, Martin Luther was a priest & professor of theology, who was born in 1483. He also wrote a great deal on anti semitism
The Volksmissionarischen Bewegung were big on Martin Luther's preachings, here are some items you may like to see.....

Detail of the embossed cover....

I see that you have the "hellgoldfarben" or bright gold version, very nice. These came in two finishes, hellgoldfarben & altgoldfarben which look aged (the version I have)....
On a different note here is an Urkunde presenting the newly created Reichsbund badge to the Vereinsleiter in recognition of his service & contributions.... It's dated Sept 1938, so now we know when the badge was introduced.
The front cover is embossed with an image of the badge, I'll included a close up scan of that.

A nice find Robert, thanks for posting it.
I swear that I have the gold version of this somewhere but for the life of me I cannot find the scans. Next time I have the enamel box out I will have a sort through to see if I am dreaming .

I've no idea Robert....
Lovely pin though..

Could this be a variant of the "Bund Deutscher Ostern" badge?
To muddy the waters more, it seems to me that in the upper blown up photo, it is not an "Arbeits Dank" pin.
Pete
I was thinking similar thoughts Pete. There's also the Scharnhorst Bund, they used a white shield/black cross with a crown in the centre.
You are correct re the "A.D." pin, see post 33.

Thank you Odulf for the extra pictures. I am even more sure that it is not a reflection from light, I am sure that it shows a badge that is unknown to us (or at least me ) at this time...
What do you guys think?

Sorry for my late replies... Holidays!
I agree with your observation considering the Ostpreußen traditions badge, the centre of the badge is reflecting the light of the flash, and it shows like white... Also, the Abteilingsabzeichen (6/10) is from Ostpreußen, thus conforming the Erinnerungsabzeichen.
I'm not convinced that it is reflected light.... That was my first thought, but when you compare both pictures the badge is at different angles in each one & the white area is still in the same spot, plus the lighting is different. Surely the spot would have moved if the badge is angled differently?
I thought I would add Dinsel to this thread. Know if I remember to write down my new password I will be able to contribute a little.
Great to see you back Robert, thank for sharing the Dinsel with us, another new one on me.
I would assume that the patch would be for the sports shirt.......knowing Don, I would think that he has a picture of it being worn in his sock drawer!! Mike
I'm afraid not Mijke, wish I had though...

That's another lovely piece you have there Mijke. Unfortunately I do not know anything about these, but hopefully there is another member on the forum who may be able to help.

Good to hear from you again Mijke & of course cloth examples are acceptable. To be honest I've never seen one before so thank you for showing it.
A lovely set indeed, do any of the pins have maker marks?
Thanks for sharing them with us.

Hello again Sergey, good to have you on the forum again .
Yes I think that it is a good one. They were originally gilded, but most of them have lost it over the years. Here is mine for you to compare.
Merry Christmas

I thought that I would add an "in wear" picture of the Heer pin. Both of these HJ lads are wearing it.

A couple of great pictures Odulf, thank you for posting them. However I suspect that it is not an "Arbeits Dank" badge that he is wearing but rather the "RAD Honour pin" (Erinnerungsnadel), see here http://gmic.co.uk/in...showtopic=13608
I'm very interested in the other pin he is wearing. It looks like the RAD Ostpreußen traditions cap badge, however the centre of the cross on the badge he is wearing shows a white area. The standard RAD Ostpreußen badge does not have this, see the attached image for comparison.

And one I've never seen before, Hillenbrand & Bröer, Ludenscheid.
Double marked with their full name plus their initials "HB". They have also used Ges. Geschutz rather than the shorter version.
Another interesting point, this is a tad smaller than the normal Abeits Dank pin coming in at 21 x 14mm rather than the usual 22 x 15mm....

Thought that I'd add a couple more variations for anyone interested:
Hermann Aurich, their correct symbol (as opposed to the fake form of this where the "H" looks more like a "B") is under the Ges. Gesch & hidden by the pin.

Thank you Erik, it is a nice shot. I picked it up for the Seegeltung badge, the only time that I've seen one in wear. The rest was a bonus....

I apologise if this is the wrong area, but I have a photo with a guy wearing a badge with an anchor which I am unable to identify & hoped that someone here may know.
I can identify the other badges (Party badge, Reichsbund Deutscher Seegeltung & a NS Deutscher Marinebund breast eagle), but the other one I'm unfamiliar with.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

A very interesting piece Pete.
Ein Robinson was indeed a film released in 1940, see here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0032994/ ignore the picture on the page as that is the incorrect one for the film, the studios are still there today.

Another point of interest is the name on the badge.
As Uwe points out, it is for a local shooting association "Kreis-Schützen-Verband Kitzbühel", however in October 1938 ALL shooting clubs, guilds & societies, as well as all culteral groups (music & dancing etc) were brought under the umbrella of the "Standschützenverband Tirol-Vorarlberg". So it must be from the very early period to name it as a verband in its own right....

So far I have not been able to locate any period information about these Joe, but having said that, any documentation from the Kleingärtner is very difficult to find. They are supposed to be for Wives & daughters.....
Here are my two, silver & gold.

The badges in detail, I think that you will find the reverses very interesing........
I've lightened the colour etc to the reverse of the larger pin to try & show these details....
