    1. Good morning Sergey.

An interesting & controversial badge you have posted. This is considered by many collectors to be a fantasy badge based on the very rare 3/204 Himmighausen badge (see below) which was shown in the period Assmann catalogue.

A very big RAD collector in Germany named Michael Jonas believes that the 4/305 Braunschweig badges are genuine prototype examples, however many other collectors now feel that they are fantasy/fake.

Thanks for posting your badge, I hope that you will show more of your collection.

      Cheers

    2. It was I who ordered the badge from Weitze on Friday as I wished to see what it looked like in hand. I am very sceptical as to whether these badges are original, the reason being that in all the years that I have been collecting, I have never seen or heard of this badge before it appeared in the new Hüsken catalogue issued a few weeks ago.

That would not normally be a problem, as I often find badges that I've never seen before & many of them are original. However, when a badge that I've never seen before turns up for the first time in a book & then within a few weeks of publication they are being sold on a dealers site, alarm bells start to ring.

They may be original, I do not know, but I think we need tp see how many more turn up in the next few weeks/months.

    3. I'm sorry to say that the enamel "Nesselwang" is considered by most enamel collectors to be a fake based on a very similar design, "all metal" tinnie, see here for an original http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/showthread.php?t=443963&highlight=nesselwang

The enamel versions appeared in the 1970's around the same time as the DRK sisters badges with the coloured borders, the DRK alpine rescue badge & the various NSFK enamel fakes.

      Sorry

    4. From what I understand, these were generic medals produced by various manufacturers (the catalogues show hundreds of designs). The shooting clubs etc just selected which design they wished to use for any particular shoot.

As to the ribbon, all of the Third Reich era shooting ribbons I've seen have been green & white. It's just an unfortunate coincidence that the one shown above happens to have come from the same area that used the green/white colours.

    5. Indeed Lorenzo is correct, it is German. These were made during the mid 1920's to show opposition to the Dawes Plan named after Charles Dawes who chaired a committee, to decide on how to collect the reparations from Germany.

It failed & a few years later the Young plan took it's place. As expected pins were produced to oppose that as well (I have one somewhere, if I can find it I'll post it).

The reverse should be marked to the NSDAP.

      Cheers
