    1. Detlev had a badge this week from the same maker, seems to have a K in it as well..... Cheers Don
    2. Nice badge, no idea about the mark I'm afraid. Matt, the DRK were not covered by the RZM regulations so none of their badges are marked in that way. Cheers Don
    3. Matt, Very interesting. I didn't give the members badge or the black bordered a second thought . I assumed that these would be the common ones, & was excited by the other colours..... I hadn't started to look into the availability of DAF badges when I received the news that the collection was up for sale, & so these are the first for my collection. Cheers Don
    4. I wasn't going to show off again, but seeing as you insist........ I agree with Steve, they aren't rare, just fewer in numbers. As I've stated before Darrell, very nice find there, well done. Cheers Don
    5. Here are the DAF badges that I obtained recently, as seen on this thread http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?act=post&do=re...ost&f=72&t=6977 Feel free to post any you have. Cheers Don
    6. Sorry for the delay in posting more images, been a little busy. I'll start a new thread for the DAF pins as a couple of you guys said that you also had some to post. Here's a link http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=7135&st=0&gopid=68243& . I'll post the rest of the Frauenschaft on this thread in a day or so. Cheers Don
    7. Ah yes, but you've beaten me to one of these Cheers Don
    8. Nice clean example Darrell, well done. Cheers Don
    9. Just checked, both are magnetic..... I've also heard back from the previous owner, they were bought sometime between 1985 & 1990, but whether they had been in a collection before that is anybodys guess. Cheers Don
    10. Matt, on the whole the finish on the obverse is very good I think. The smaller one just looks worn & rubbed. I've no idea on their history but I can ask. By the way these two rareties are on sale for ?200 each for anyone who wants them..... Seriously though, if anyone wants them for study they can have them for free on condition that they are not passed on as originals, all I ask is something towards postage depending where in the world you are. Cheers Don
    11. The edge also has pitting & a distinct line all the way around (the line doesn't show up too well in the pic). There are no virtical shearing lines usually seen on these.
    12. But close up of the script shows poor lines these should be sharpe & straight, not wavy
    13. As it had been painted, the finish looks as thought the paint has bubbled. But again poor mis casting on the guide area for the plate, not a crisp shape normally seen.
    14. The other badge is this one. Just looked worn at first glance
    15. Pitting again, plus the poor casting of the edge of the pin plate guide.
    16. However the reverse shows it all under any light. First clue is too obvious, wrong pinplate for the guide. However, I suppose you could claim that there may have been a shortage of the correct plates...... But there's more. Tell tale pitting from the casting over the back which is under the finish. Also deformity on the shaping of the plate guide.
    17. Well that's true, it wasn't a fair question with such a poor picture & no reverses. Here's the first one. It doesn't show on this scan because of the bright light but the front has some artificial aging, probably heated with a flame.
