Just received our first piece of Allach "Dackel" No13. I say "our" as it was actually bought by my wife as she was taken by it when we first saw it.

That is true, combat awards have always had more of a following compared to Civil. However this works to our favour, it keeps the price down on items that in many cases are a lot rarer than their more expensive combat reletives
The North Reinland fire cross for instance, only awarded 84 times....... Compare that to the price of a Knights Cross & how many of those were awarded?

You have a beauty there as well.
Thanks for adding to the thread

I'm afraid the I can't help as I haven't one of these, but I'm sure that one of our other members must have one hidden away somewhere.
Things may be a little quiet here for the next couple of days because of the SOS.

On the other hand I could be totally wrong
.........
Now that you show it Pete, I do recall the ribbon. Wasn't this one of Detlevs offerings many years back? Nice piece. I looked in his catalogue last night to see if he featured them but couldn't find any.
Thanks for showing it.

Great story Kev, nice to hear that people can still be honest & also that others are appreciative of it.
Nice piece as well, good to see another example

What I was wondering was if anyone had one of these in wearable condition with ribbon or what-have-you. Maybe a photo of one in wear........ Have a Good Day. Robert
Don't take it as gospel Robert as these aren't my area, but I seem to recall that these did not come with ribbons. One of those odd awards that had a loop for a ribbon, but wasn't issued with any.

Welcome to the forum Bill, good to have you on board. Don't aplogise for awaking this thread, it's just what we need
Nice plate, any chance you can get a shot of the maker mark?

I tend to avoid the painted or lacquered versions as they've never really appealed to me. However this badge James is very fine, thanks for showing it.

Thanks for the clarification. I've never heard of ones with red backgrounds to start with (but other may have as this isn't one of the badges I've studdied yet), & I don't like the sound of these oval plates being used. I think caution & more investigating is needed but I suspect that they are new fakes....

Very interesting info Robert thanks. When you say narrow pin plate, do you mean the very narrow clipped type we see on modern badges, or the more oval period style plate?
Can't help with this thread as I don't yet have one, hopefully others will chip in though.

Good news indeed Robert
Wives? Girlfriends? Why? Do they want a nice Frauenschaft badge?

This is probably why I have a tendency to overpost here on this forum.
Robert, you do not overpost, the rest of us underpost.
I tend to try not to just say "nice badge" all the time & so stay quiet unless I can give an informed answer. I haven't a clue with your 75 but will happily go along with Stephen's conclusion as he has studdied the RZM far more than I. I am confident though when I say your type III looks fine.
Keep posting my friend.

Hi Flo, welcome aboard, glad to see you found us.
Nice picture, could we see a closer shot of the badge please?

Very nice indeed Stephen & very intersting. I have often wondered about the the background of this badge (beyound the obvious Christian link). Do you have any further info on this group?

Joe,
Stephen & Robert are correct, it's a badge worn by the civilan workers employed by the Wehrmacht. The literal translation is Armed forces attendants.

Very nice Robert, it's true that we don't see these badges very often. I don't own one, but a friend of mine does, I've just checked the images I have of his one & yours matches perfectly.
Would be nice to see if anyone else has one, they came in a smaller stickpin form as well. I've only seen Junker marked ones, it would be interesting to see if there are any with other makers out there.
