Hi Don ...Are all the 1933 RPT repros semi hollow back or , are they also selling the solid style (unmarked)as well ?
Mike,
This particular company only appear to be doing the hollow backs at present. I imagine someone else is probably doing the solids, but I haven't knowingly seen one yet. I don't know if that's good news or bad to be honest....
They have added more to their range, the backs have the same style on all of them. Here's their site http://www.azzie.biz/
Bob,
That's very true, this company advertise them as copies & make no pretence that they are real. What really worries me are the ones that try to get them correct in every detail

Hi Nan Su, I have changed the topic title for you.
Interesting looking medal, I will be interested in the views of the medal collectors here on this one.

It sure does look suspicious........
Especially concidering the wear to the paint work compared to the condition of the decal.

Very nice Micha.
Looks like a blue veined decal, is it?

Here is an interesting captured LS helmet! I have never seen a Dutch Captured example!
Warm regards
Paul
I'd be very cautious with that particular LS helmet. Notice how all the tell-tale areas used for spotting a fake decal are missing...... You'd have to see it in hand before judging, but I personally wouldn't touch it.

Thanks Micha,
No I'm afraid not. I never seemed to get around to looking for one.

Very nice, you are indeed correct in that '42s are difficult to come by, especially with nice decals.
Thanks for sharing them with us.

Dave,
I'm certainly no expert on these things & have yet to find one that I'm happy with.
Here's a link to a thread concerning these 9000 series badges from GDC. This very badge is shown in the thread.....

Here's my beaded M40.
Slight difference in that it has the blue veined decal as opposed to the black veined type. Not rare, just unusual.

And in answer to your question on the thread with my M34 parade helmet, yes I do, an M40 like yours, although not as nice I think.
I shall post it here later.

Gentlemen,
I had an amount of credit with a dealer that I decided to call in. One of the items was this 25yr cased Polizei. I'd be grateful if you would cast your eyes over it & let me know your thoughts. I apologise for the less than perfect images, but I was losing light fast so used the scanner as well.
