Hi Don ... the rest are magnetic?
Sorry Darrell, forgot to check back
No, I only have the two DRL's.
Regarding the War wounded shown on WAF, looks wonderful, but also looks "different" to all of the others I've seen before. The finish is different, almost as though it's a polished bronze with silver letters...... I'm not saying it's bad, just looks different.

Indeed, Brienner Strasse 45, the old site of the Braunes Haus.....
If you look at the top picture & compare it to the one below, you can still see the position of the buildings entrance. Look at where the wall has parts that stick out, these were where the columns were that had the lamps on. The street lamp was moved while the BH was still there, because in later shots it is where it is now. I assume AH didn't like to have to walk around it each time he came & went. When you stand there, you can see where they have added another layer of blocks to make the wall look like it is that height all the way along & hiding the step that was between the columns.

As I was looking through a bunch of postcards in Munich the other week, I turned a card I was considering buying over to look for a price. The post mark caught my eye as I found it quite striking.
Here it is, has anyone else any unusual or striking postmarks that they are willing to show?

Anyone like the Luftschutz helmets?
Here's one of mine, a near mint parade helmet.

Don,
I used to go there on a regular basis, I even managed it on 11.11.98 and was given tickets for the VIP corner in the gate from a friend of mine who lives there (that placed me nicely in picture in a BBC programme about the ceremony). My next trip will be in October but only to fill up on the way home as the nearest petrol station to Hooge crater is one of the cheapest (for diesel) around.
Tony
Excellent, I've not managed on "the day" yet, it's moving enough the rest of the time, I can't imagine what it would be like on the 11th.

Very nice Richard, it's sure in a good condition.

Hi Rosenberg,
I'm sorry but I'm not really sure what it is you want to know.
As I mentioned before, they were given to helpers who had shown over a period of time that they were competent in their tasks. It can also be found in a painted or lacquered form probably from later in the war when enamel was more expensive or in short supply.
Cheers
