    1. Just bought this for grandaddys pocket watch, it hangs over the round part of thestand. Next to it an inkwell, written on the bottom it says from the prop of a plane that crashed in 1918
    2. Hi, this has no date on it but initials and a regt number scratched on it... Any idea if it is WW1?
    3. Hi, WW2 South African. When i was akid they were all over the place. I found this one about 3 years ago at a flea market in Cape Town. Filled with junk modern badges. I asked "How much" and she gave a ridiculous price (for the badges)... I told here they were way out of my price range ...maybe I could just take the tin ;-)
    4. Not a lot of paint left on this one... i think i am going to make these a sub collection...
    5. Picked up 2 aluminum ones for a song today... One is from the "Wuertt.Met.Fabr.1914" the other one without a stamp but with "P.P. 6/65" scratched into it, I dont know if it was 65th arty or inf. The other is a mint 1917 one.
    6. I know there are similar chocolate/candy/sweet tins for WW1, WW2 and the Boer war.... Anyone have any others?

Aladar Skita (1876 Wien - 1953 Baden-Baden) hatte 1900 in Heidelberg promoviert und war 1903 bis 1905 Chemiker bei den Farbenwerken in H?chst/Main. Am 1. Oktober 1905 Assistent am Chemische-Techischen Institut der TH Karlsruhe, habilitierte er sich am 20. Juli 1906 und wurde am 22. Dezember 1911 a. o. Titularprofessor. In gleicher Stellung war er vom 1. April 1914 an der Universit?t Freiburg t?tig. Seit 5. Februar 1921 in Kiel, ab 1. Oktober 1923 als nichtbeamteter a. o. Professor und Leiter der Organischen Abteilung des Chemischen Instituts mit Lehrauftrag f?r Organische Chemie. Am 1. Oktober 1924 wechselte A. Skita als o. Professor und Direktor des Instituts f?r Organische Chemie an die TH Hannover
