Hi folks, Up for your advice is this John F. and Robert Kennedy memorial medallion marked 1968. It has the two brothers on the front with their birth and death dates, and a '68 beside the heads. Anybody know about this medal? Is it an official medal or is it a politcal medal? Any info is great. Pat

I think this one is not very common as there weren't that many Aerial Gunners in the US Army (Air Force) in 1927-1928. It is made of stirling silver. Does anyone else have one to compare or have any info?

Hello all, I picked up this interesting piece a while ago, a US Aerial Gunner Award with 1927-1928 engraved on the back of the "aerial gunner" bar that hangs from a target cross shaped badge with a wreath around it. It is marked Stirling on the back as well. All info on this medal is welcome as it is not my area of expertise. Thanks, Pat

Unmarked Musical Cap Badges

and the back of this cap badge, it appears to be two-pieced. This may even be from outside of the commonwealth, there are absolutely no markings for clues. Pat -

Hi there, These musical themed cap badges have always been some of my faves, being a musician and all. I was wondering if anybody could ID which country and which war these are from. The first one I think is British WW2 issue. Any ideas? Please post your musical badges for comparison and viewing as well. Thanks, Pat

Soviet Soviet Military Long Service Award Set
Avitas replied to Avitas's topic in Russia: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
I love the cosmonaut in the picture, very 80's. This is my last scan of the reverse of the 70 year medal, and I hope someone can help me out. Thank you in advance, Pat -
Soviet Soviet Military Long Service Award Set
Avitas replied to Avitas's topic in Russia: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
I would assume this next one was one of the last Soviet awards given out. It is for 70 years of CCCP 1918-1988 and it seems to complete the set. Does anybody else have info on the correct names of these medals and if it is a complete set? Pat -

You don't see many medals with nukes on them! Here is the back of the 60 year CCCp medal. All info is appreciated on this set. THanks, Pat -

Here is the nicest one, with some enamel work on the star, for the 50 year long service in the military (or commemorating 50 years since the revolution, my Russian is nil). Any info on this set including translations is helpful. Thanks, Pat -

Next up we have the 40 year CCCp service medal (if I am wrong please correct me). Another nice one I would say, are any of these rarer than others? What is the story with these medals? Thanks, Pat -

Hello gents, I have what I think is a complete set of Soviet Russia Military long service awards (If anyone has the proper names, please correct me). I have the 20, 30, 40, 50, 60,and 70 year versions of the medal. Is this complete? Are any of these more rare than the others, or are they pretty common. I got them all at once and have liked them ever since, cool designs on the medals. Any translations of the medals are great, too. Thanks, Pat First up, the 20 year service medal (1945-1965)..

Here is the reverse with the inscribed name. I have read that you could pay extra to engrave your name after the war on your medal.

Hi there, I picked up this rare WW2 USA Good Conduct Medal (which my girlfriend quickly got a hold of ) awarded to a female recipient and was wondering how to research these medals. The ribbon does not glow under blacklight so I am assuming it is ww2 issue, probably for this fine woman nurse, I assume, Eileen A. Kroll. I searched the net for info on her and found and obituary, but thats it. How rare are these medals awarded (and inscribed) with women? There can't be many of them. ANy help is appreciated on this subject. Thanks, Pat
