On the subject of white helmets, we could not forget the Brighton Borough Police, who for many years were well known for their day time white summer helmets. They were introduced for daytime summer wear in 1933 and ceased six years later. They were re-introduced and worn between 1952 and the demise of the force in 1967.
Below is the white helmet and the night time and winter counterpart.
Dave.
Thank you It is getting very interesting I like it

Greeting Graf!
In fact, there is no special reason. When I started to decide to collect some orders, I saw the Bulgarian. Although it is difficult to find stock in the local market, I still enjoy the process of collecting. Whether it is the Kingdom of Bulgaria or the People's Republic of Bulgaria, I like the design of their orders and certificate styles. They have always fascinated me to understand this country that I have not visited yet.
I enjoy the process of collecting Bulgarian orders, it is a spiritual pleasure!
Sincerely
Steve
I like your dedication and I hope one day you will visit this country i have been few times,, ofcourse part of trips to the Balkans and Medeterenian
Regards
BTW I like you had the same filling towards Bulgarian Decorations
I started with Belgium, French and German awards (mainly Iron Cross) however gradually mine main interest shifted to Bulgarian Awards and Decorations

Hello Demir,
great work, Thank you for sharing it! I am very impressed, that the the osmanic state did have different ribbons for life saving medals regarding the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th deed. Do you happen to know, if there ever was a recipient of the Tahlisiye4? That would be very interesting to know!
I agree Thanks

Nice work Steve!
Yes the Hungarian connection is a big mystery
I am exploring the option that "F" mark could be non Austrian maker who was requested by Austrian Firm to make decorations on their behalf

Hi Tony,
Very nice work
Other information for the Bulgarian Crosses that they were Made in Hungary but not proven
That made me think that those Decorations might have been made by non Austrian makers by request of the Austrian Firms and the mark "F" could be his mark in addition of the Austrian marks
Yes more questions then answers, That is the purpose of those forums to try to get to an answer with the information and knowledge available to us

Hi Steve
this is the site when is claimed that This particular model was made in Germany. As i said, although i highly respect the seller i am not convinced that this particular model was made there.
I read long time ago that it was made in Hungary, however not convincing information came across to support this claim either

We move to the Channel Islands, specifically the Island of Jersey. Many will be aware that between Monday 1st July 1940 and 9th May 1945, Jersey together with Guernsey and other islands in that Bailiwick were occupied by German Armed Forces.
Despite the German occupation the British police force on Jersey and its neighbouring islands was allowed to continue operating largely without interference.
Here we look at the helmet which was worn during that period alongside a photo of a Jersey Constable talking to a German officer in St. Helier shortly after the occupation.
Dave.
I like it The photo is very unusual and nice Thanks

Hi Steve I am aware about the claim that it is German made, however, like you said there is not convincing enough evidence only statement from a known seller, who I respect.
There is only information about some rare 1915 Soldier Crosses and 1941 Model They were made by the Firm Zimmermann
Because this mark is evident on Austrian made Decorations, i am more inclined to thing that it could be some inspection mark Look the Austrian section The thread is about red Cross Decorations I left some comments

Dear members on other forum a question was asked regarding a a mark "F" on Austrian decoration
I was aware that the same mark appeared on the 4th Class 1st Grade on the 1915-1916 Model of the Order for Bravery
It is located on the reverse site of one of the swords
Different possibilities were discussed
I am asking the members to participate with the possible explanation what is the meaning of this mark
