Maker unknown (to me at least). Along with several other makers, Godet are known to have used such screw fittings on their crosses but often with oval backplates.
I agree. The Godet I have seen were with oval backplates,

They could be already on the market. Numerous Stars and high end Socialist decorations appeared for sale on few Auctions in Europe. This is not coincidence. It is interesting fact that some of those awards, although different, come in very similar stereotyped boxes/cases
It looks like similar scenario when several years ago a faker from Bulgaria loaded the market with fakes Royal Orders and few sellers and dealers bought the cheap and knowingly and/or unknowingly sold them on profit to unsuspected collectors.
The same trend can be seen with the high end of the WW2 German Iron Cross, in particular Knight Crosses of the Iron Cross. The market suddenly get supplied with similar Items in a very good conditions by several sellers/dealers at the same time on waives
Well, if there is a demand there will be always people who can "help' with the supply

It is real I saw it on eBay on the seller is with good reputation The price was very good.
The Front of the box is with King Boris monogram. All boxes ticked for the questions by 922F. Also the description and the period are correct

Hi JustinG,
it will be better if you list it in the Iron Cross section There will be more likely to be noticed

If you know anything about Meybauer, you'll realise that this manufacturer produced pieces both with and without their logo, and with differing silver content marks. Not unusual. What is unusual is the characteristic shape of their cores.
I agree on those points. For novice it is important to buy marked or if unmarked from a reputable seller
The cross that we are discussing is for sale on eBay Germany It comes with a nice box The seller did not clearly specify that it is Meybauer He gust suggested that could be Meybauer piece

Another thing is what I call the "case frenzy", where as we read, a case influences a prospective price up to 1/3 of the overall value. Something I consider -permit me- just insane.
Personally, I consider a case just a "plus" to a piece, where the piece itself -in my opinion- should have the "Hauptrolle", both historically and commercially.
Very well said Enzo I know collectors that they will not buy excellent items because they come without case/box.
I personally buy as they come across and if case/box comes later and on reasonable price I will buy it

I'm wondering if it might be South American or Mexican. Their military fashions often followed European lines.

I agree. I had Argentinian General shoulder boards that were French style

They're both good private purchase pieces, first is definitely a Meybauer with replaced hardware.
This is the information you need
Yes, the pin was replaced plus the hook was re soldered When it was done ? We can only speculate
