I restrain myself from engraved EKs, unless it comes from estate with a good provenance
Yes, it is always tempting to buy one of them

Yes It is a recent fake. If you paid 10 Euro you already new that is a fake. But 10 Euro is worth the risk
It is also good for display

The swords could indicate that the scout was a member of cavalry unit
Someone perhaps know whether the 1st Class/Grade was highest or lowest one

It looks like Spain Red Cross decoration, however it is odd with all french decorations, therefore it could be similar french red Cross Decoration as the Spanish one Most of the Spanish red Cross decorations have the typical for the Period crown on top

That is why I listed the Lot description and the Lot number, so members can look at it till is still on the Zeige site and they can give you more information if needed. However you still can list pictures once you got the Order
So far Elmar Lang gave very good information
In my opinion 900 Euro is on the high site of scale. You can find such item for less. However you bought it and enjoy it.
Next time you will have a better knowledge When the description of an item on the Auction/Sale site is vague there is a reason. Look the pictures and compare with other similar items on internet..or ask the Forum beforehand
Cheers
