    1. Very nice and rare boards. I like them! I've got one pair of the PNR from the 1980's.
    2. Thanks Zeivars. I'm still speakless that I've got these absolutely items. Did you see my another new uniform of the Air Force/Air Defence (DAAFAR)?
    3. Hello Collector's, here's my new old cuban uniform jacket and field jackt from ca. 1965. This kind of uniform was worn from the early 60's until ca. 1975. When the Cubans introduced the soviet rank system, they used these uniforms with the new rank insignias transitional (see Markgraf's FAR uniform). My uniform and field jacket is one of a Primer Teniente (first lieutenant). This uniforms are qualitative higher class than the following models. Raul Castro (rank: Comandante) in 1965.
    4. Thanks for your help guys. @Rick: No, they aren't dated. They are massive castings like on my other Captain's Jacket.
    5. Hello friends, here my new Mayor's uniform of the DAAFAR (Defensa Anti-Aérea Y Fuerza Aérea Revolucionaria, engl.: Revolutionary Air and Air Defense Force). This uniform was worn in this form in the first half of the 80's. Unfortunately, I can only identify the second line of the ribbon bars: Medalla conmemorativa "20 Anniversario des las FAR" (left) and Medalla conmemorativa "20 Anniversario" (right).
    6. Hi Paul, I'm very certain (but not 100%^^) that the green one is not in original colour, because: 1. I've searched my big photo archive --> nothing, 2. I've searches in my cuban FAR book --> nothing, 3. the official organ of the FAR "Verde Olivo" doesn't say anything about a green badge, 4. the green badge has no enamelling, but every another academy badges which I saw had one.
    7. Here are my new cuban magazine pouches and bayonet holder. The left one has place for three magazines + two smaller pockets for oil bottle and cleaning equipment. The right one has place for four magazines + two smaller pockets for oil bottle and cleaning equipment. I asked my father, which one he had in 1980-1983. He had the left one for three magazines but made of the material of the right one.
    8. Yes, that's absolutely right. Here a pic for better understanding:
    9. The difference between "Comandante" and "Comandante en Jefe" is, that they look different. The "Comandante" has a yellow star and the "Comandante en Jefe" a white + laurel wreath. "Comandantes" and "Comandantes de la Revolución" are: 1. veterans of the Revolution and 2. retired officers or 3. active superior officers without any task (only representive). I hope you understand what I mean. (English is not my native language )
    10. Another symbolic rank is the "Comandante". This rank is higher than the "General del Ejército" but lower than the "Comandante de la Revolución". Here an example:
    11. He is wearing the general's uniform, because he is an active member of the army (still general of the army and president). The rank "comandante de la Revolución" is only a symbolic rank for high officer's of the rebel army. But all "comandantes" with this rank wear army uniforms, although they have no active position. NOTE: A "comandante de la Revolución" is formal higher than a "general del ejercito". Here an example with Juan Almeida Bosque: Here Juan, Raul and Fidel in BDU: And an example for Fidel in a general's uniform: I hope I could help.
    12. Markgraf, very interesting stuff! I think, this BDU must be used in the 70's.
    13. Thanks Paul. The liner is made of Dederon (= registered trade name for polyamide fibre in the GDR).
    14. Not quite.^^ It's Unit of Security and Ceremonies.
    15. It's time for an update. Here are my new patches directly from the US of A.
    16. Thank you Markgraf for sharing this pic. It's very interesting to know this fact.
    17. Yes they do, because the border guard is a part of the ministry of interior. The green is lighter than the green of the army.
    18. Thanks. You could be right. I don't know.
    19. Some of the shoulder boards were presents from friends and family in Cuba and another were bought.
    20. Hola guys, here my general's UTV BDU from 1989. Completely new and unissued.
    21. Here an example of the change of the today's rank system from 1988, when it was introduced, until today:
    22. Hola compañeros, here my shulder board collection from the 80's until today:
    23. Sorry, but I have no general ranks. It's very, very difficult to find this general ranks in Cuba. They absolutely rare. But I try my best to get those ranks. :-) Szervusz Markgraf! The SF camouflage is 100% cuban made. Your another peaked cap is very nice. I like it. The cap band is one of three pattern that I know (this one, these of my caps, and the general's cap bands). Here one example of your peaked cap, worn by a Cuban officer: And one example of the General's cap band, here Army General Raúl Castro: Your belt buckle is very nice. I've got the same but complete . You will find a picture of mine in one thread here on gmic.
