The second sawfish is a fake made by a collector five or six years ago...
Same for the bear, well know fake made by a french dealer.

I found by chance this badge last week in a "brocante" in Northern France and I would like to know your advice on it.
My assumption is that it could be a true one, which belonged to a submariner named "Herman.Z", appointed to the famous U-96 in 1940 (?) and after in the 9th Flotilla in Brest.
Subject to your expertise.... I don't know many things about German submarines.
It is around 73mm long, 40mm high and 0.5mm thick, made from solid brass probably coming from ammunitions.

Bonjour Bison,
Cordialement,
Michel

Hello,
I am not a hat collector and every TR hat or tunic I have ever owned had the size ink stamp in an even size or was so faded or worn to the point that I could not read it . This hat looks very nice and old but the hat size looks strange to me . The stated hat size is 57 1/2 , since the hat and other clothing dimentions use the metric system would'nt the hat size be ink stamped 57.5 ?
Best Regards,
Joe
The "1/2" is not a problem.

Not a regular one but original.

Hello John,
Without a better picture I can't agree your theory, some differences are visible :
* top of the wings
* head and body cut out (not on Hymen)
* position and orientation flag
* dimension of the propeller
* dimension of the rudder
* cut and forms external ballast
Regards,
Michel

Beautiful Rifles, Michel.
The center rifle in the first photograph seems to have the "H" for the Heer on the stock.
Regards
Paul
It is the Ostsee one.

A recent addition to my collection, U-Boot binoculars 7x50 made by CXN rarer than the BLC.
Used but very good condition (paint + optic) with his original leather strap.
