I have recently acquired this photograph of a Victoria Cross presentation to, I believe an Indian recepient. The rear of the photograph has an official ink stamp marked 'Services Public Relation Directorate India', and handwritten in black ink, 'The Red Fort Delhi, October 24th 1944, The VC presentation parade' Im in the process of researching the recipient and identifying his other awards. Hope this is of interest to topic members.

Thanks for that, its an avenue of research i hadnt considered. I ll check my reference books. The only thing is their insignia appears to be fairly standard German.

Here is another in my collection, this time a copy of a print entitled Charles John Tottenham of the denbighshire yeomanry.

Thought members would like to see this cabinet card showing a member of the Surrey yeomanry which recently came into my collection. Do any other members have yeomanry images to share? The uniforms of these units are so ecclectic and varied that i thought it would be a challenge to see which units could be represented on a thread.

I have had this photograph in my collection for some time and have so far been unable to identify the headress being worn. It would appear to be third reich era from the breast eagles being worn althougth at least one of the men in the image appears to be wearing a plain tunic. The caps would appear to be black in colour and have some form of cockade on them. Unfortunately the back of the photograph is plain and was on its own when purchased so i have been unable to positively identify arm of service or unit. Any ideas or information would be greatly appreciated gentlemen. OOPS sorry i ve not got the hang of this yet as a new member. I will try to sort out the images and upload them soonest
