Hello Gentlemen!
Excellent Photos guys!
I agree, very nice contributions.
Here are three Italian members of Gioventu Italiana del LIttorio (GIL) which was a Fascist youth organisation.
They are standing on a railway platform in Croatia.
The middle youth is wearing an Italian youth organisation fighting knife.
Cheers,
Larry

Very nice U-Boots und Bergungstaucher trade patch with original packet.
Martin, that is a very nice Schiffstaucher patch in wear. He is also wearing a Zimmermann (Ship's Carpenter) trade patch as well.
Nice combination.
Cheers,
Larry

Hi Dan,
Thank you for the nice comments. I have never tried to colour WW1 photos. 95% of photos I colour come from my own collection which is WW2 related.
However, I do colour photos for other people and for books so a WW1 uniform colour reference would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Larry

Fleet Badge in wear. From a Kreuzer Prinz Eugen photo lot. Interestingly the green cross above the head of the last man denotes he was KIA.
At least two sites mention a single death on the Prinz Eugen during Operation Cerberus.
Writing on the back of the photo shows the date of death and where he died. This date exactly matches the date of Operation Cerebus.
This must be our man. See these sites:

Kriegsmarine Speciality Badges in Wear
in Germany: Third Reich: Research, Documentation & Photographs
Posted
It is a pity that his arm is blocking the view of the badge on his tunic.
Writing on the back of the photo shows that it was developed by a Photo-Haus in Westerland-Sylt.
This was an island fortress and as far as I know there wasn't a naval presence there.
Photo taken while on leave perhaps?
Here is the back of the photo.
Cheers,
Larry
