Yes, it exists a number of copy's, but actually not from this early typ with the small griffin. This kinds of decorations are very rar.

seeheld,
Thanks. I don`t have it yet but would like to buy. What do you think, how much would be a reasonable price to pay for the star?
pluribus
I'll pay for an early Star like this 2500-2600,- Euro. But yours is chiped?

@ pluribus,
your KK-Star looks very good to me. This is an early Typ and is very close to one of my Stars.

Hello Sascha,
in my rolls I found out one very hot candidate and some other maybe candidates:
Haffner, Erik --Schwerin, Gro?herzoglicher Hofschauspieler, Leutnant der Reserve im Landwehr-Infanterie-Regiment Nr.76 (I.-III. Bataillon)
FFK 16.12.1917, MVK 2.Kl. Feb.1915
The Landwehr-Infanterie-Regiment Nr.76 is one of the Hanseatic Regiments. I believe that's the reason for the Bremer Hanseatenkreuz and the Oldenburger KVK!
Hoeschel, Otto Max --Hamburg, Diplom Berg-Ingenieur, zur Zeit K?niglich Preu?ischer Leutnant der Landwehr
FFK 29.12.1917, MVK 2.Kl. unknown date
Lammerts, Heinrich --Wismar, Montage-Schmied in der Wagenbau-Aktiengesellschaft
FFK 09.03.1918, MVK 2.Kl. unknown date
Weichmann, Dr. jur., Karl Dietrich Heinrich Martin --Berlin, Direktor der Landbank
FFK 02.11.1917, MVK 2.Kl. unknown date

Hello Sascha,
I have a Problem with your "Mecklenburg-Fieldbar". At first, why do you believe that Schwarzburg arward is the Ehrenkreuz IV. Klasse with swords and not the Kriegsverdienstmedaille or the Ehrenkreuz III. Klasse with swords? and at second, all decorations are for combatants exept the Friedrich-Franz-Cross? The FFC was only for workers and gouvernment official (non-combatants) at home from Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Only a very small number of foreign people are arwarded.
But nothing is impossible and I try to find out the ID.
Best regards

I can't find any arwarded men from W?rttemberg around 1890-1905.
In the Ordens-Almanch from 1904/5 and 1908/09 is nothing.
So far is actually no chance for an indentification...

Thank you Rick,
I will carry out a double check. Maybe I overlook someone...

Hi Rick,
you are right. The ribbons are on the wrong place.
Her are the names:
Benning, Karl --Obermusikmeister im 1. K?niglich W?rtembergischen Grenadier-Regiment K?nigin Nr.119
Berner, Heinrich --K?niglich W?rttembergischer Kammerdiener
Guter, Hugo --K?niglich W?rttembergischer Theaterverwalter
Haag, Jakob --Stuttgart, Landl?ger-Stationskommandant
Hummel, Georg --Stuttgart, Polizeiinspektor
Kurjries, Ferdinand --Karlsruhe, K?chenmeister
Riech, Wilhelm --K?niglich W?rttembergischer Kanzleidiener
Schnabel, Gottlieb --K?niglich W?rttembergischer Hausverwalter
Wieser, Oswald --Haushofmeister Seiner K?niglichen Hoheit des Herzogs Robert von W?rttemberg
Wolf, Friedrich --K?niglich W?rttembergischer Kammerdiener
I believe that this 10 persons are not the persons that we are looking for, because all mens received the silver merite medal at the 05.01.1912 during a states visit of the Grandduke Friedrich Franz IV. of Mecklenburg-Schwerin in W?rttemberg.
According to all other medals we have to search around 1900.

It's for sure not an artist. A Lakai or something like that.

Hello friends,
now I'm back at home and I have time now for our hobby.
At first I have a question. It's possible to find out a name for this Frackschnalle? I got this bar just now, but I'm not able to find a Name.
The silver medal from Mecklenburg-Schwerin (second position) is no so rar, but only 9 persons from W?rttemberg I found out in my list.
Have someone an idea?
Best regards

Aha! AS I loiter (little violins) all alone and noplace to go Christmas Eve (sniffle) I remember a THREEFER--
Here is the ribbon bar of Dr. Karl BEUTIN, Ministerial Sekret?r of BOTH the Mecklenburg-Schwerin State Ministry for External Affairs AND Secretary of the Mecklenburg-Schwerin Orders Chancery, worn as a Hauptmann dL I during the war:
1) he recieved the Mecklenburg Griffin Order-Knight SOME time between the May 1913 and May 1914 editions of the Army Rank List
2) He is still listed at his pre-war job in the 1917 Hofkalendar so what did he DO during the war to earn
Combatant MK2 and
3) L?beck Hanseatic Cross?
I know (snuffle) Santa will not be bringing me anything tomorrow, so MAYBE I can finally fill in some inoformation on a ribbon bar I've had for 20 years?
Hi Rick,
Dr. jur. Carl Beutin received the knight cross of the Griffin Order in Schwerin as Ministerial- und Ordenssekret?r at the 09.04.1914.
Regarding the MVK 2nd class I have actually no matches. But my list is veeery long and no alphabetic sorted.

This medalbar is small but nice, very rare and 100% Mecklenburg!
According to the awards, the men must be a guard in a camp for prisoners of war. In Mecklenburg we got 2 camps. One in Parchim and the other one close to G?strow. I checked the rolls and I found out that a lot of guards received the Militairy Merite Cross for non-combattants.

Hi friends,
today I received my newest non-combatant medalbar from Mecklenburg-Schwerin. :jumping:

Friedrich Franz Cross 2. Class is completly wrong!!!! The Friedrich Franz Cross is an other award!
This Cross is the Milit?r-Verdienst-Kreuz 2. Klasse.
Usually the ribbon is lightblue with yellow/red stripes by side. (for combattants), For non-combattants the ribbon is red with lightblue/yellow stripes by side.
Your pictures are not good enough to say is an original or a copy, but my first impression is not so good.

Hello Friends,
on Sunday I got a nice present from my fathers friend. It's a Milit?rpa? for a medical orderly!
He was from the beginning until the end of the WW I. in the Infanterie-Regiment L?beck (3. Hanseatisches) Nr.162.
Heinrich Karl Ketzner was arwarded at the 21.10.1916 with the Iron Cross 2. class and at the 17.11.1916 with the L?becker Hanseatic Cross.
The special thing is the printed Red Cross on the Military Pass.

The order of the wendish crown (knight cross, golden merite cross and silver merite cross) is also possible. For sure not a bigger class as a knight cross.
The boxes for the griffin order and for the order of the wendish crown are from outside the same.
But Mecklenburg-Schwerin is correct. FF = Friedrich Franz (Grandduke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin)

On this medal bar is no medal from Mecklenburg-Schwerin. The last medal is from Oldenburg for Combatants 1866!

Hi Rick,
yesterday I checked this bar again. The first merite cross is made from gold.
See attachment.
And I checked the name Wilhelm Heine. I don't think so that this name ist correct. The owner shut be a fire fighter or volunteer fire fighter.
I have an other favorite.
I believe August H?ting is possible.
He received both merit crosses as Senator at the city of B?ckeburg and the fire fighting decorations as honor member in the volunteer fire figthing department in the same town. But I'm not really sure...

Thank you for the the name!

Can you show us the breaststar leftside of the Iron Cross? It's look like the Order of the Wendish Crown the Swords from Mecklenburg-Schwerin!
Thank you!
