Thank you Wild Card,
you are right.
My first impression was wrong. Before I got also only pictures of the front side and not from the back side. I was really thinking that the ribbons are fixed with glue... :banger:
This was the reason why my bidding was so low. Really nice and rare bar. Congratulation!!!
Best regards

Hi Chris,
ahh you are the winner of the auction in Vienna...
I tryed to identify this bar, but it's not possible. 14 persons from Mecklenburg got the same combination.
Could you please show us the back side? The ribbons are fixed with glue?

I'm sure. She is not a jew widow. Because in her award dokument is written as rank: Frau Kantor!!!
This is a christian rank in lutheran, protestant and catholic church. I don't think so than a jew can be a christian priest at the same time...

The basic MVK was instituted by Friedrich Franz II in 1848 and issued in all ensuing wars with a change of date. Friedrich Franz IV renewed it in 1915 with the date 1914. The earlier form, let's call it type 1, was struck early in the war. At some time later the design was changed slightly with a different crown and all capitals on the reverse. It was awarded until 1929.
I'm sorry, but I'm not agree with you. Your 1st Type is one of the last types from the middle twenties. This is not a official awarded one, because this was for sale on many jeweliers in Germany.
Your 2nd Type is the first Type...

1. Type = 1841-1868
After 1868 the old crosses were rebuilt to 2. Type with 9 (IX.) years. This is the reason why we can't find so much 1. Type crosses.
