My grandfather ( father of my dad )was electrician at the Deutsche Werft U-Boat Bunker Fink II in Hamburg Finkenwerder.

Yes... He survived the war.
He was heavy wounded by granades and lays in the Lazarett in Shirk Beskiden (Poland)
At the end of the war...
The way to Shirk was free so he was transported with one of the last trains.
He was woundes in the region of Nowgorod Ilmensee.
