      @ J Temple-West Yes... He survived the war. He was heavy wounded by granades and lays in the Lazarett in Shirk Beskiden (Poland) At the end of the war... The way to Shirk was free so he was transported with one of the last trains. He was woundes in the region of Nowgorod Ilmensee.
