    1. Here's the reason I bought it, though........the beautiful totenkopf on the reverse.
    2. It's by Blichmann, and in '990' silver. There's another on a US site at the moment for $500. I've never seen one before, and now I've seen 2 in a week.
    3. Anyone seen one of these before? It cost me ?20 from one of the big dealers (surprisingly), which I think was a bit of a bargain.
    4. Here's one of mine........in its own little corner of the world.
    5. Some very nice photos there, Jacques. Thanks for posting. There seem to have been almost as many variants of the beret then as there are of the Condor Legion Tank Badge now!
    6. Just an unusual photo showing the SS membership runes being worn by a member of the Water Police.
    7. I've always wondered why the gold on these things usually seems to be 'worn' in the recesses and unworn on the highlights - ie the opposite from what you'd expect. They always look as if they have been lightly painted over with an almost dry gold paintbrush. I'd have expected the gold to be worn the other way round. The numbered 75 and 100 tank ones are often the same.
    8. The commander of the Iron Division, Major Josef Bischoff, wore his German uniform throughout the Baltic campaign.
    9. And here is Leutnant Raben, of the Iron Division's air squadron, wearing the black breast cross above his German awards. He is in the garb of the Russian-German Army of the West, which Awaloff commanded, and which adopted the Iron Division when the latter was disowned by the German government in 1919.
